Boating Rules

1. Although the boats can be hired and operated all over the state, Cape to Cape Boat Hire reserves the right to not allow use in dangerous areas. The intended area and launching ramp must be stated and consent given before the hire.
2. The boats are not intended to be used at night without consent. For the D25 boat, night-time use is not allowed by AMSA (Australian Maritime Safety Authority).
3. The boats are not to be moored overnight without prior consent.
4. The boats are not insured for towing or water skiing, so these activities are not permitted.

Weather Policy

On the day of your hire, if the wind and ocean conditions are deemed unsafe by Cape to Cape Boat Hire, your booking can be cancelled for a refund of the balance and bond but not the deposit. This will generally be if a proportion of the day is forecast to be 15 knots or more. Unfortunately, we cannot cancel if the weather is simply not as good as you hoped, but your safety is our number one priority.

If you are hiring one of our boats and travelling outside the local area, the hirer must use their own judgement about whether to move forward with the hire and must only use the boat in safe weather and sea-state conditions.
